Andrew F. Wallen

eSapp Consulting, 2001--Current
Technology Consultant
I specialize in synergizing all business operations with information technology solutions. These solutions address the problems experienced by each client while preventing further issues from arising in future. A strong focus is placed on meeting the project budget of each client. Each solution must fit the client rather than being dictated by proprietary software and hardware relationships that have been utilized in the past. Solutions provided over the last year include: e-Commerce, web-site creation, application service provider creation, network topology, operating system overhauls, and disaster recovery planning and implementation.

IntraSphere, 1998--2001
Chief Technical Officer
As CTO of this Indianapolis-based consultant, I found myself working for various consulting firms and companies, consulting on issues from network operating solutions, WAN technologies, and computer telephony. Technologies utilized during this period included: Cisco, Nortel, 3Com, Interactive Intelligence, Altigen, Lucent, Siemens, Windows NT Server, Citrix MetaFrame, and other WAN and computer telephony technologies and protocols.

Booz • Allen & Hamilton, 1997--1998
Lead Technology Consultant
During my employment with Booz-Allen & Hamilton, a worldwide consulting group specializing in providing consulting services to government entities, my duties continued to expand on my prior experience. As a Lead Technology Consultant, I was tasked with assisting the Department of Defense's, Finance and Accounting Division with the consolidation, closure, and re-structuring of the physical finance offices worldwide. This project required the standardization of all head-end computer software and hardware, standardization of all WAN technologies, and the deployment of these technologies through the use of government sub-contractors as center's remaining open began to house re-located personnel in order to continue the finance function of the DoD. The overall project budget for the information technology related component was in excess of $200 million. Upon the close of this project it was determined that the overall project came in under budget and upon further review, had a payback period of less than 18 months.

Andersen Consulting, 1994--1997
Technology Consultant
As a Technology Consultant for this worldwide consulting firm, I assisted in numerous network rebuilding and optimization projects for Bank One. The primary client, Banc One Mortgage Corporation required my assistance in the planning, deployment, and ongoing support of various projects all conducted to synergize the existing network environment during the client's greatest period of growth. Projects and technologies utilized while in this role included: implementation of the newest Token-Ring topology, migration from Novell 3.1 to 3.11 to 4.1, implementation of a new FileNet document imaging system for all mortgage documentation, standardization of all desktop hardware and software, as well as taking a lead role in the development of the help desk software used to create and track all corporate information technology issues. While serving in this capacity, all migrations were successful and all trouble tickets were being closed within a single workday.

United States Marine Corps, 1989--1994
Network Administrator and Small Computer Systems Specialist
I served as the Network Administrator for the 3rd Marine Air Wing Finance Office. During my time in this position, I attained certification as a Certified Banyan Engineer. The services provided while in this position included: updating the network topology from Ethernet to wireless, implementation of West Coast disaster recovery plan for all daily financial records, and ongoing support of a 50-user LAN, managed all telecommunications and WAN links to all West coast and Kansas City financial centers and offices. Prior to my honorable discharge, I lead the training of five individuals to take over various duties of the Network Administrator position.
